2-2-1: le français à deux
If you’re going abroad together why not learn the language together? Where one of you might have a good ear for numbers the other may be better at reading the menu. I ensure you both move forward whatever your strengths: learn through laughter together.
En avant !
Susan and Sue have known each other for a few years and participate widely in local events. When Susan was ready to move on from the Intermediate group she persuaded Sue to brush up her French with her. Now they do a 75 minute class every week and have advanced very rapidly. They’ve made particular progress with register and speeding up their spoken French (becoming hooked on the police series Engrenages along the way!) .
“Fun, enjoyable, up-to-date language. I feel I am getting better”
“I wanted a new challenge and it certainly is that… I never thought that learning French could be so rewarding”
Encouraged to speak together
Rosie and Tony have a different background and level of French but wanted to share the experience of learning together. They chose to do a weekly 2-2-1 lesson. If one can’t come to a class we use that hour to focus on specific issues with the other.
It’s always worth asking if I know of a student that might be interested in doing a joint lesson with you if I’m not currently running a group at your level or if you want a more social experience learning French. It can be very stimulating having a learning partner and although you’re playing less per head than for a 121 you are every bit as much engaged.
